Follow us on an easy path through the enchanting traditional Rome´s countryside and end with with a reward... Castelli wine and antipasto in an authentic trattoria
We will leave from the Termini Station on a regional train to Frascati. The 30 minutes trip will run through the lovely roman countryside, far from the city noise. After a walk and an espresso in the lovely Frascati, the largest town of the Castelli district, we will start our hike to the legendary Tuscolo peak. This will be a relaxed 1,5 hour walk through forests, grand aristocratic palaces and ancient Roman paths. After having enjoyed the stunning view over Rome at the Tuscolo archeological site, we will walk down to the tiny Monteporzio Catone for a traditional bite at Cantina Romoletto. Smiling, satisfied and if possible happier thanks to the local food and to some Castelli wine, we will return to Frascati following following an alternative route. Train back from Frascati to Rome.
